Description

Siemens SM321 digital input module for the SIMATIC S7-300 PLC. It reads 32 on/off field signals into the controller.

  • Takes 24 V DC signals from pushbuttons, limit switches, proximity sensors, relay contacts and other field devices, and passes them to the CPU as process data.
  • Used in S7-300 racks in oil and gas, LNG, process, marine and factory automation panels.
  • 32 channels, in four groups of eight. Input signals are electrically isolated from the backplane bus.
  • Plugs onto the S7-300 DIN-rail bus. Field wiring is made through a 40-pin front connector, which is ordered separately.
  • Approved for hazardous locations: FM Class I Div 2 and Zone 2, and ATEX II 3 G Ex nA II T4. Rated for 0 to +60 °C (32 channels at up to 40 °C, 16 channels at up to 60 °C when horizontally mounted).
  • Made in Germany. Supplied as a genuine Siemens spare.
