FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these new or used items?
Our catalogue includes both. Every item is graded against our condition scale (New / NOS, New Open Box, Surplus Tested, Surplus As Removed, For Parts) and the grade is shown on the product page. Many of our items are genuine new old stock — equipment procured for a project and never installed.
Are the items genuine OEM, or aftermarket?
We deal exclusively in genuine OEM-branded equipment recovered from real industrial closures and project surplus. We do not sell aftermarket, counterfeit, or relabelled equipment.
Is Sunrise Marine an authorised distributor of [Brand]?
Unless we explicitly state otherwise in a specific listing, we are an independent surplus supplier and not an authorised distributor or representative of any OEM. All trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Do you offer OEM warranty?
No. Manufacturer warranty does not transfer with surplus equipment. We offer our own as-described condition statement on every item.
Can I see the actual item before buying?
Yes. On request we will send additional photos, video walk-arounds, and where practical arrange in-person or virtual inspection of the actual stocked item.
How do I get a price?
Click "Request a Quote" on any product page. We respond within one business day with confirmed availability, final pricing, certification documents (if applicable), and shipping options to your country.
Why is the price "indicative"?
Final price depends on shipping destination, payment terms, certification documentation requirements, and current freight rates. The indicative price is a fair benchmark; the formal quote is exact.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept telegraphic transfer (T/T) in AUD or USD for international orders, and Australian bank transfer for domestic orders. Payment terms are confirmed on each formal quote.
Can you ship to [Country]?
We ship internationally to most countries across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Some destinations may be subject to Australian export control restrictions, which we will flag during inquiry.
What about hazardous goods?
Items containing batteries, gases, or compressed-air components may be classified as dangerous goods (DG) for transport. We package and document these to IATA (air) or IMDG (sea) standards.
Can you source a part that's not on your website?
Yes. Our /source-a-part page is built exactly for this. Send us the OEM, model, and part number, and we'll come back within two business days.
I have surplus to sell. Will you buy it?
Quite possibly. See /sell-your-surplus for our purchasing criteria and process. We respond to all surplus offers within three business days.
Is there a minimum order value?
No formal minimum. However, freight cost-effectiveness becomes a consideration on small international orders. We will advise during inquiry.
Do you offer trade or volume pricing?
Yes. Repeat buyers, dealers, and bulk-quantity orders receive trade pricing. Mention your role and expected order frequency in your inquiry.
How can I be sure your business is legitimate?
Sunrise Marine Australia Pty Ltd is a registered Australian company (ABN 61 697 392 706, ACN 697 392 706), drawing on the founder's 30+ years of global industry experience in surplus industrial equipment dating to 1994. We supply registered references on request, accept formal purchase orders, and are happy to be vetted by your procurement team's standard supplier qualification process.
How do I raise a complaint or dispute?
If you have a concern about an order, product description, shipment, or any other aspect of your dealings with us, please email info@sunrisemarine.com.au with the subject line "Complaint" and a brief description of the issue. We acknowledge all complaints within one business day and aim to resolve them within five business days. If a longer investigation is needed, we will keep you informed of progress. This does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
