About Sunrise Marine

Three Decades of Sourcing What Industry Already Built

An independent Australian supplier of surplus industrial, marine and oil & gas equipment — drawing on the founder's 30+ years of global industry experience. This is the story of how — and why it matters.

Our Story

Our founder's story begins in 1994, with a simple observation: every industrial project, every ship refit, every facility upgrade leaves behind perfectly good equipment that someone, somewhere, urgently needs. The challenge was never the supply or the demand — it was the bridge between them.

Sunrise Marine Australia Pty Ltd was incorporated in April 2026 to formalise operations drawing on the founder's 30+ years of global industry experience dating to 1994. We work with industrial operators, project closures, fleet modernisation programs, and decommissioning teams across Australia and the Asia-Pacific to identify equipment that is technically viable, commercially valuable, and genuinely useful to someone else's operation. Then we supply it — globally, transparently, and at a fraction of new pricing.

Our Background

Sunrise Marine Australia was founded by an industry professional with 30+ years of hands-on experience across India and Australia in marine logistics, oil & gas operations, mining, warehousing, and surplus equipment supply.

The founder's career began in India in 1994, partnering in the original Sunrise Marine operation and building deep expertise in sourcing and supplying surplus industrial equipment to global markets. After relocating to Australia, the founder gained extensive cross-sector experience in mining, oil & gas, engineering, 3PL logistics for the energy sector, and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) — working across warehousing, supply-chain management, and compliance.

In April 2026, that three decades of global industry knowledge was channelled into incorporating Sunrise Marine Australia Pty Ltd — an independent, Perth-based supplier of genuine surplus industrial, marine, and drilling spares, serving buyers worldwide.

The company is led by a Director who combines entrepreneurial leadership with technical expertise gained across multiple industries and continents. A commitment to quality management, supply chain integrity, safety compliance, and transparent business practices underpins every transaction.

Independent Australian company

Sunrise Marine Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 61 697 392 706) is an independent Australian company and is not a branch, subsidiary, or affiliate of any other entity operating under a similar name in any other jurisdiction. References to the founder's earlier career are biographical only.

What We Mean by "Surplus"

In this industry, "surplus" is often confused with "used." For us, the two are very different.

Unused / New Old Stock
Equipment procured for a project, never installed, still in original packaging.
New — Open Box
Inspected and confirmed unused, but the original packaging has been opened.
Surplus — Tested
Previously installed but recovered in working condition; function-tested before despatch.
Surplus — As Removed
Recovered from a working installation; sold honestly with its history disclosed.

Every item in our catalogue is graded against this scale. The grade is on the product page, not buried in fine print.

Why It's a Smarter Way to Buy

For the Buyer
  • Cost reduction of 40–80% versus new procurement.
  • Faster lead times — items already in country.
  • Access to discontinued OEM equipment.
For the Industry
  • Keeps technically viable equipment in service.
  • Reduces dependence on long manufacturing lead times.
  • Supports a circular industrial economy.
For the Planet
  • Avoids energy-intensive manufacturing of replacements.
  • Reduces scrap going to landfill.
  • Lowers embodied-carbon impact of capital projects.

How We Source

Our supply network is the result of three decades of industry relationships. We work directly with:

  • Project owners closing or transitioning major capital projects
  • Fleet operators modernising vessels or rolling stock
  • Facility managers decommissioning plants or process lines
  • Insolvency administrators handling industrial wind-downs
  • Engineering contractors with project-end surplus inventory

Every acquisition is qualified for technical condition, traceable provenance, and commercial viability before it enters our catalogue. We do not buy or sell counterfeit, grey-market, or untraceable equipment.

Our Commitment

  • We will always describe the condition of an item honestly, even when it costs us a sale.
  • We will never present surplus as new, or imply OEM authorisation we do not hold.
  • We will never list counterfeit, grey-market, or untraceable equipment.
  • We will respond to every inquiry — even ones we can't fulfil — within one business day.
  • We will treat every buyer, regardless of order size, with the same level of technical care.
