Description

A hydraulic stud tensioner stretches a bolt or stud by pulling on it with oil pressure, so the nut can be run down finger-tight and the joint clamps evenly when the pressure is released. It is used on flanges, heat exchangers, pressure vessels and crane or turbine joints, where torque wrenching is not accurate enough.
  • Two Bolttech TP30KZ hydraulic stud tensioning pumps, each built into an aluminium frame with a flip-up reference panel.
  • Pump is air driven (Maximator unit), 220:1 pressure ratio, rated to 25,000 psi maximum. Required air supply is 100 psig, with the regulator never to be set above 114 psi.
  • Panel has a system pressure gauge (0 to 30,000 psi and bar), an air pressure gauge to 300 psi, an air regulator, air shut-off valve, oil return (vent) valve and a quick-connect outlet.
  • Reference panel carries the load calculation formulas, stud root area table, joint length drawing, stud relaxation graph and the Bolttech BT-series tensioner data (stud sizes 1-1/8" to 3-3/4", maximum loads 64,000 to 820,000 lb).
  • Two cases of stud tensioners, each with two hydraulic tensioner tools, hex pulling or reaction adaptors and bagged seal rings (part numbers 1870-287SN and 1870-387SN, quantity 2 each).
  • One case is a black watertight hard case with foam insert, and the other is a silver aluminium case with foam.
  • Trident Australia test certificates and certification envelopes are enclosed with the pumps. Please see the Condition Statement.
  • Sold as surplus, as-is where-is.
